It's been a while....

Haven't posted on my blog in a few months, so I thought it was time to update it! Today we celebrated Easter with a delicious lunch at my parents' house with tons of family. The kids hunted for Easter eggs in the backyard, which they always love doing, and I love watching! We always enjoy spending the holidays surrounded by family. We are definitely blessed.

Since my last posting, I've gone back to work full-time. I was hired in February by a company called Mental Health Systems, Inc. I am a Parent Partner for the Fresno County Wraparound Program. Having received wrap services for Dylan in our county and seeing the benefits that come with it, I am so excited to get to be a part of bringing wrap to other youth and their families. We've got an awesome team of people working in our program so it's made the transition of going back to work that much easier. Two of my cousins are helping out with taking care of the kids after school, which has been a blessing.

Speaking of the kiddos, they are 8 weeks away from the end of the school year, which seems completely nuts to me. Every year seems to fly by quicker than the last. Kaylee recently made it through the weeklong process of cheer tryouts and made the JV squad for next year, though they have already started practicing & preparing! Dylan will be starting Jr. High School, something I'm still working on getting adjusted to. This will certainly be a big transition for him (for me too!), but we are in the planning process for this already. Garrett & McKenna will be at the same school next year, moving on to the 5th & 2nd grades. They are all doing great and make me proud every day.

With Steve & I both working full time these days, we're trying to make a point to make time for spending quality time together as a family. In January, we spent a week on the coast, traveling to Monterey & visiting the aquarium, and then making our way down the coast, stopping to visit some missions along the way, as Garrett was working on his Mission project for school. In addition to Monterey, we spent time in San Luis Obispo, Morro Bay, Pismo Beach, Cayucos & San Simeon, where we got to see tons of elephant seals & watched one being born. We had a great time hanging out and enjoying the gorgeous scenery of California's central coast. We're planning a trip to the bay area at the end of May, which I am really looking forward to. Going to check out San Francisco & Oakland, see the Golden Gate Bridge, maybe go to an Oakland A's baseball game & go get some ice cream at Fenton's Creamery, which we saw on a show on Food Network!

If anyone has any suggestions on great places to visit (within drivable distance)with kids, please share! We'd love to hear about any great trips you've been on & enjoyed, so leave a comment!

Hope everyone had fantastic Easter today and that you enjoy all the blessings this Spring has to offer!
